Meet Our Golf Professionals

  • Lance McAllister

      Lance McAllister

      Head Golf Professional

      Originally from Maine, Lance and his family have lived in South Florida since 1995. Over the past 21 years, he has been a golf professional at Broken Sound Club, Boca Grove and most recently was Director of Golf at Mizner Country Club. In 2009 he was named the South Florida Section PGA Assistant Professional of the year. He has also been active in the PGA of America, serving as Southeast Chapter PGA Secretary from 2012-2014, serving on the Tournament and Awards committees since from 2007-2014 and was a member of the Presidents Council for growing the game from 2009-2012. Lance looks forward to making sure that every member has more fun, with more friends, playing better golf more often.

      Steve Sands

      1st Assistant Golf Professional

      Steve Sands moved to South Florida from New City, NY, with his family in 1976 and has been here ever since. Having come to the game of golf later in life, Steve has played and worked in the South Florida golfing community for the past 15 years, after careers in journalism and small business ownership. Steve is a graduate of the University of Florida. A PGA member since April, 2016, Steve’s approach to both playing and teaching the game of golf is to keep things in perspective and enjoy the friendship, camaraderie and sportsmanship the game has to offer.

The opening hole is a long dogleg left par 5 which requires a tee shot to be down the middle in order to avoid bunkers both sides of the fairway. A precise approach is needed to hit the elevated green which is protected by bunkers on the left and a steep drop-off to the right and behind.
